SMMUG Virtual Event: How a Cloud Crushed a File Server, and Made IT Rain

June 18, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

For businesses involved in (or contemplating) a migration to O365, one of the key factors to consider is how your data can be used in automations. What advantages does Teams/SharePoint Online offer over a file server, particularly in terms of bringing the full capability of Power Automate to bear? Is it possible to roll out automations with minimal IT staff? What kinds of problems can the Power Platform solve for you? These questions and more will be answered during the next SMMUG session, as we examine how one medium sized manufacturing company in Westbrook has employed these tools to streamline operations. Learn how you can help shift your colleagues away from repetitive busywork and toward tasks that bring greater value.

Our Presenter: Leon Vanella has spent most of the last 20 years working professionally with technology, with the last 7 focused on turning business problems into success stories. Born in California, Maine resident since 2006, he hates paper, wasted effort, and store-bought tortillas. With experience spanning education, manufacturing, software development, and municipal government, he has developed an ability to assess specific needs and strategize the best fit solution. His current work at Artel is an ongoing adventure in helping a growing company position itself to meet ambitious goals.
